Bookminders Promotes Jennifer Whitmore to Chief Technology Officer

A promotion nearly ten years in the making recognizes the leader behind the firm's technology, systems, and communication.

PITTSBURGH, PA, UNITED STATES, August 18, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Bookminders, an outsourced accounting firm serving nonprofits and complex businesses, today announced the promotion of Jennifer Whitmore to Chief Technology Officer, effective immediately.

Jennifer joined Bookminders in 2015 as a Business Systems Administrator and went on to lead marketing and communications, then development and design. After gathering valuable experience outside of Bookminders, she returned in 2021 as the Business Operations Manager and, since January 2023, has served as Director of Technology and Communications. In that role she has overseen the technology behind every part of the firm, including the largest initiative in the firm's history, the adoption of a new accounting platform built to carry its accounting services into the future.

Technology is reshaping the accounting profession faster than at any point in its history and at Bookminders, that's not a threat to manage but an opportunity to lead. Where technology is often treated as a back-office support function, Bookminders considers it central to its core accounting services. Jennifer's appointment is a direct expression of that conviction.
