General Oncology Nominated for the 2026 Prix Galien USA Best Startup Award
Recognition follows preliminary Phase 1 results presented at ESMO Congress 2025 for GO-4 in BRCA/PALB2-mutated stage IV pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, where two patients remain progression-free at 48 and 23 months
BOSTON, Aug. 18, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- General Oncology, Inc., a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing a first-in-class redox-based therapy for stage IV cancers, today announced that it has been nominated for the 2026 Prix Galien USA Award in the Best Startup category.
Winners will be selected by the Prix Galien USA Awards Committee and announced at the awards ceremony on October 29, 2026 at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.

GO-4 is being evaluated in the SHARON Phase 1 trial (NCT04150042) in patients with stage IV pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) and stage IV HER2-negative breast cancer in the setting of a BRCA1/2 or PALB2 mutation. Data presented at ESMO Congress 2025 showed two of the patients treated at the highest dose levels to be free of disease at 48 and 23 months and off all therapy, after only two cycles of GO-4. The maximum tolerated dose has not been reached, and no long-term treatment-related adverse events have been reported. The trial recently expanded to include BRCA-wildtype pancreatic cancer and is planned to further expand to include BRCA-wildtype colorectal and ovarian cancers.
